Cities and municipalities can receive up to €60,000 for investments in their communities – the application window is open
The Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction, and State Property published, on 22 April 2026, a Public Call for Co-financing of City and Municipality Projects, aimed at developing municipal and social infrastructure and improving the quality of life of local residents.
Who can apply?
The call is intended exclusively for local self-government units — cities and municipalities classified in Groups I through VI according to their level of development. Each local self-government unit may submit a maximum of one application.
What can be financed?
The funds can be used for a wide range of projects, including:
Municipal infrastructure — construction, reconstruction, and maintenance of roads, public lighting, public spaces, and municipal facilities.
Affordable housing — investments in infrastructure within zones designated for the construction of affordable housing, including water supply, drainage, and traffic surfaces.
Social and community infrastructure — kindergartens, schools, children's playgrounds, health centers, care homes for the elderly, and similar facilities.
Project documentation — preparation of technical documentation for all of the above-mentioned projects.
How much funding is available?
The maximum co-financing amount per applicant is €60,000. The Ministry's share in project financing depends on the development index of the local self-government unit and ranges from 55% to 80% of total costs, with an additional 10% increase for affordable housing projects.
What is the application deadline?
The deadline for submitting applications is 30 days from the date of publication of the call.
